“Give peas a chance!”

Sautéed sugar snap peas is one of our favorite side dishes. Unfortunately, we can’t always find them fresh at the grocery store and frozen just isn’t the same. I hope you’ll give these a try and remember that you can enhance their taste with garlic and/or Parmesan cheese.

Ingredients

Step by step method

  • 1

    Assemble the ingredients.

  • 2

In a large size sauté pan, heat the butter and oil together and add the garlic (if using). Add the snap peas and toss them around in the pan until they are well covered with the butter/oil mixture.

  • 3

Add the salt and pepper to the snap peas and saute them for 4 to 5 minutes until they are crisp-tender.

  • 4

Just before transferring the snap peas to a serving bowl, add the Parmesan and/or sliced almonds if using.
