“This sausage roll only contains 2% of your daily intake of calories … if you lick it.” – Jack Whitehall
Imagine taking an overused, very old appetizer recipe and by changing one ingredient turning it into a new, fresh, exciting appetizer ….. well, that’s exactly what Lisa at her blog, The Cutting Edge of Ordinary , did!
Lisa simply substituted Bisquick’s Cheese and Garlic Biscuit mix for Bisquick’s traditional biscuit mix that we’ve all been using for years. In addition to coming up with the ideal appetizer, she may have created the perfect breakfast for someone on the go. Think about it … each serving provides some bread, sausage, cheese and egg … what more could you ask for!

Preheat oven to 350. Let the sausage sit out for a half hour to come to room temperature. This makes it easier to mix. Combine the sausage and biscuit mix. Add in the egg and mix (with your fingers) to combine. Mix in the cheese and chives. Form into large walnut size balls and place on a baking sheet lined with no-stick foil. Bake 20 – 25 minutes or until cooked through. Serve with dipping sauce of your choice or just enjoy them plain
